Abq

To get into the groove, we watched “The Poseidon Adventure“ on Tuesday night before leaving home on Friday. We anticipated it to be a bitter-sweet departure, but we were excited. A big shout-out to our awesome brother-in-law for picking us up. It was a full carload and a long day to get to Abq. and checked into the Airport Sheraton before picking up my sister for a farewell dinner at the beautiful Four Hills Country Club. Nice! (Thanks Dan and Marjie.)

After getting back to the hotel, we had a surprise quick visit from our wonderful daughter and grandson. Tristan made us an awesome package for decorating our cabin door. (This is a big thing on a cruise ship.  More on this later.) Niko only needs a few more inches before he is the tallest family member. That handsome fella will definitely be reaching the high stuff on the shelves for me by the time we return. Nice surprise to see them!

So hard to say goodbye to everyone, so we’ll just say

au revoir/Sayonara/ciao ciao baby!

We were up bright and early on Saturday morning, and breezed through the airport process, even though we had four large checked bags. I was worried about airport security because our carry-ons included 9 months of prescriptions, but we breezed through in no time.

After flying up in the front of a couple of American Airline flights, it’ll be tough down the road to fly Southwest again…  😉

The food, etc. was great, and on the second leg, the entire front was Ultimate World Cruise travelers. They served us champagne and treated us like royalty.

Much thanks to Tristan for the beautiful cards she gave us. Many of the graphics used on our blog are her original art work from the cards she has given us to open throughout our cruise!

Much thanks to all of our friends’ best wishes and good vibes you have sent our way.
