CocoCay

At our first port, we missed A Perfect Day at CocoCay, and spent the day unpacking. Thank goodness for Karen. She is a rockstar!

This evening we attended an unbelievable acapella performance by MO5AIC.  You might remember these five fellas from “Americas Got Talent” and the Grammy Awards. With roots from The Lion King on Broadway, earlier this year, Tony Bennett commented that they were the best singers in America today. I was lucky enough to get to hang out with them for several hours in the tavern later this evening, as they took turns soloing on the piano. Wow! What talent.

The following day was our first day at sea. (No ports.) We explored the ship and enjoyed some culture, including attending an excellent performance by Polish classical guitarists Wocjeich Kozikoski; a lecture from Jesica Nabom (the author of “The Catch Me If You Can”, her story of her visits to every country in the world); our first salsa dance class; and watching “Instructions Not Included”, the best foreign film I’ve ever seen. (It made my eyes sweat…) While onboard, decorating your room’s door is customary. Thanks to our creative daughter, we have a flexible custom solution to keep our neighbors entertained throughout the trip.
